The Season of Lent is a very special time for us Christians.  It is a season of penitence and spiritual self-discipline as we prepare to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord.  Lent begins with Ash Wednesday, when a cross of ashes is placed on our foreheads as a sign of our commitment to humble ourselves to the Lord and allow His Spirit to work in our lives in a way that we have never allowed before.  As in years past, we will offer worship services each Wednesday evening at 7:00pm beginning on Feb 18 and   continuing until Holy Week (when there will be services on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.)  Our brothers and sisters from St. Barnabas Anglican Fellowship will join us each evening and Father Harold Vandeveer will share in the preaching with  Pastor Lybrand.  The sermon series for this year will be on The Lord’s Prayer.
March  4      - Thy Kingdom Come
March 11      - Thy Will be Done on earth as in Heaven
March 18      - Give us our Daily Bread
March 25     - Forgive us our Sins
April  2         - Maundy Thursday – Lead us not into  Temptation
April  3         - Good Friday, Tenebrae Service -
- On Maundy Thursday, we will end the sermon series on the Lord’s Prayer, celebrate First Communion with several students and participate in the ancient ritual of Stripping the Altar as a  reminder of the way Jesus was stripped and beaten before his crucifixion.
- On Good Friday we will worship using one of the oldest liturgies of the Christian Church, the ancient Tenebrae Service.  The service begins with a fully lighted sanctuary but as we listen to the story of Jesus’ trials, crucifixion and burial, the light diminishes to a single candle.  It is one of the simplest yet most moving worship services of the year.

Come join us and let the Spirit move you!

Each service provides an opportunity to learn relevant biblical truths presented by our insightful Pastor R.E. Lybrand, Jr.

At 8:30a.m. join us for a traditional liturgical service that incorporates The New Lutheran Book of Worship.

At 11:00a.m. join us for our Crossroads Service in a more relaxed setting that uses contemporary Christian music.

Between the services, we offer Sunday school classes for students age 3 through high school as well as adult classes. Our professionally staffed nursery is also available for younger children.
