As disciples of Christ, we are transformed through worship, through prayer, and through service. Being in relationship with others is another way of being transformed, and the central part of Lake Wylie’s Dining Disciples supper club is to build relationships with others by having dinner in each others homes. The purpose is to provide an atmosphere which helps us develop and deepen friendships in our church family. The only item on the agenda is to get to know one another and learn how to care about each other.
If you are a new member of Lake Wylie or a regular attendee, Dining Disciples provides a fun opportunity to make new friends and meet new people. Singles, couples, old and young are encouraged to sign up. Groups will normally meet on the third Saturday of the month, except for January which will be an all group gathering and orientation at the church. In March, May, September, and November we will meet in homes. July will be an all-group gathering with the location to be determined. The monthly host contacts others and prepares the entrée. Other members bring salad, vegetable, and dessert. At our gathering in January we will review specifics, receive feedback, and make adjustments, if needed. Please note that you do NOT have to host dinner in your home in order to join.
If you would like to be included in this ministry of good food, great fun, and Christian fellowship, please sign up on the information bulletin boards or bulletin inserts, or contact the church office or Mary Chamberlain
