Lake Wylie Lutheran Church

Craig Abee,
Patty and her husband, Eddie, relocated to Charlotte in February of 1998.  They lived in Pineville for six months before purchasing their first home in the Steele Creek area of Charlotte where they currently reside. They have one daughter, Melanie, who was born here in Charlotte. She is a junior at Appalachian State University. Prior to working at Lake Wylie Lutheran, Patty taught preschool for 8 years at a Lutheran church in Charlotte. Eddie is employed at Lowe’s Home Improvements in Clover, SC and manages the appliances, millwork and cabinet departments. They are looking forward to travelling to Disney in August as Melanie will be doing a semester at the Disney College. Family is very important to them and they enjoy spending the holidays at home in New Jersey with their families. When they are not visiting with family, they enjoy camping at both the mountains and the beach!

Danielle was born and raised in New Jersey until the age of 40 when my husband’s job relocated us to South Carolina.  My husband Ken worked for Maersk Sealand for 35 years and changed jobs in May 2013.  We are coming up on our 25th year anniversary.  He currently lives in New Jersey and commutes every day to Philadelphia where he is working at Holt Logistics as an Assistant Terminal Manager.  He comes to visit us on the weekends.
We have 4 children.  Rosalie is 23 and is an ED nurse  at Atrium Healthcare in Pineville.  Kenny is 21 and he is Marine Mechanic for Max Marine in Cornelius.  He is also the owner of American Made Overhead Doors South.  Alexandra is 19 and is currently an apprentice for Siemens Engineering Corporation. She is attending CPCC for Machining.  After she completes her program she will continue her education at UNC Charlotte to fulfill her Engineering Degree.  Joey is 17, turning 17 at the end of August.  He is going into his senior year at Fort Mill High School.  He worked this summer at the Tega Cay Pool as a lifeguard and also cuts lawns to earn money.  He plays travel hockey for the Pineville Ice House.  We also have 3 dogs named Duke, Winnie and Luna.
I graduated from Caldwell College with a Business Administration degree in Marketing and Management.  I worked for a few years before I decided to go back to school to earn my teaching degree.  I attended Kean University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood and Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology.  I also have my real estate license.
I taught kindergarten and first grade in the inner city of Newark, NJ for several years before I began my family.  I was also the Director at a daycare/preschool in Parsippany, NJ.  I feel my calling in life has always been to teach.  I love children and the way their little minds think.  It’s always been my passion.  I look forward to work every day and making a difference in children’s lives.  Our team at the preschool is wonderful.  We work together to have an outstanding reputation and will continue to thrive and help the children grow.
I love to spend time with my family.  We enjoy traveling together and sometimes apart too.  The beach is my happy place.  My dogs are a very big part of my life.  I have built some great friendships here and I value each one of them.  I feel very fortunate and blessed with what God has put in my path for me.
